Third Class Weaving

We had great fun learning how to weave in today’s art lesson.

We started with some plain white art straws stapled onto a piece of card.

Five Little Pumpkins

We decided to investigate pumpkins in Junior and Senior Infants. First we talked about the outside of the pumpkin.  Our pumpkins were all different sizes. We had fun guessing how many lines on our pumpkins and how many links we would need to make a belt for our pumpkins.

Then we cut our pumpkins open to explore the inside. We couldn’t believe how many seeds we found. The pumpkins were slimy and gooey on the inside.

We thought they were smelly too!

Finally after all our hard work we had a special treat-pumpkin cupcakes! We couldnt believe they were made with pumpkins. Yummy!!

Fun with Patterns

We have been learning all about patterns in Junior and Senior Infants. We are very good at finding patterns all around us. We had fun making lots of different patterns with beads, pegs and animals. We even made people patterns!
