Science Week 2018

Science Week 2017

Science Week took place all over Ireland from November 12th to 19th .We took part in Science Week 2017 by having a science fair in our school.

Pupils from Mrs Hurley’s and Mrs Sukprasert’s classes were divided into groups and worked on various topics. Experiments  included optical illusions, magic slime, racing rockets, bread soda balloons, moving magnets and many more interesting and exciting topics. We worked together to plan and conduct our experiments.

Each group had a table in our school hall to present our experiment. We made posters with instructions on how we did our experiments. These posters were displayed behind each group. Children from each class came to the hall to view the experiments and had a go for themselves. They asked lots of interesting questions too.

Overall our science fair was a very interesting day. This taught us lots of things about science and helped younger students understand how science is both fun and interesting.
