FIRST EUCHARIST: Congratulations to the children from 2nd Class who received their First Holy Communion on Sunday. We were very proud of all the children, as I’m sure their parents were. It was a beautiful ceremony and a tribute to all concerned. It was very much a team effort from the school to make the day special. Our thanks to Ms. Cotter and Ms. Brennan for all their work with the children. To Mrs. Browne for preparing the choir and the children from 4th, 5th and 6th classes who sang beautifully on the day. To Mrs. Kenna, Mrs. Kehoe and Mrs. Moore for all their labours and to the teachers who helped out in so many different ways. It is days like these that the children will remember for the rest of their lives. SCHOOL CLOSURE: The school will be closed on Friday May 23rd to facilitate the Local and European Elections. FOOTBALL ACHIEVEMENT: Congratulations to Adam Lynskey (6th class) who will represent Laois in an inter-county blitz to be held in Nowlan Park, Kilkenny on Thursday.
